Petite Friture reissues the Sandows collection by René Herbst, bringing back a landmark project in the history of modern design. Originally conceived in the late 1920s, the collection includes the iconic Chair N°212, the Armchair with wooden armrests, and the Daybed N°114 with a reclining backrest—pieces that embody a rigorous balance between form, function, and technical innovation.
Defined by structural clarity and minimalist expression, Sandows stands out for its graphic metal frames and the pioneering use of elastic tension bands as a structural and ergonomic element. Developed in close collaboration with the René Herbst archives and his heirs, the reissued pieces remain faithful to the designer’s original principles while asserting their relevance within contemporary interiors.
