BROKIS will once again take part in DesignBlok, Prague’s contemporary design festival, continuing a tradition that began in 2010. From 7 to 11 October, the brand will present its latest collections at Trade Fair Palace as well as a monumental lighting installation in the historical city centre.
This year’s theme is “Light”, and it will feature prominently throughout the BROKIS presentations. At Trade Fair Palace, the festival’s main venue, visitors will discover selected new releases, including Arcade by Boris Klimek, which combines the elegance of classic chandeliers with a contemporary aesthetic, and the new Starcloud wall and table light by Lucie Koldova, which expands the possibilities for incorporating this successful collection into interior design.
Jan Palach Square will be illuminated by Beacon, a lighting installation designed by Lee Broom and brought to life by BROKIS. One of the leading international guests at this year’s DesignBlok, the British designer will visit Prague to present this distinctive installation, inspired by London street lamps and the Brutalist architecture of the South Bank. Originally created for London Design Festival 2025 and subsequently presented at Milan Design Week this spring, BEACON will make its Czech debut at DesignBlok, lighting up the square in front of the Rudolfinum throughout the festival.
Lee Broom will also speak at the DesignBlok Talks conference as part of the BEACON presentation. One of the programme’s leading guests, he will join a line-up of Czech and international architects, designers, and other experts. His talk will take place on Wednesday, 7 October, at the newly renovated Industrial Palace at Výstaviště Praha.
