We spend most of our time sitting, so there is probably no furniture piece requiring so much ergonomics and refined details as a chair. It is also believed that one becomes a designer the moment he/she designs a good chair. Dining, lounge or armchair, wooden or metal, minimalistic or curved and covered in rich textiles, a chair awakens our senses and impacts our body posture and even our daily well-being.

We devote this text to chairs we consider real queens of good design, comfort and beauty.

BRUTUS DINING CHAIR – 101 COPENHAGEN

With the inspiration found in Brutalist architecture and design and casted in fiber concrete, Brutus chair is a sculptural and statement piece of furniture. It is hand-painted and contains delicate color nuances that make it softer. Although its strong lines and volumes, Brutus is the chair that is comfortable and decorative in all ambiences.

TRE 3 – AGAPECASA

Only seemingly simple, TRE 3 chair presents a real universe of details, simplicity and magical connection between materials. Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, an architecture icon of the 20^th century, this chair reveals the broad knowledge that was able to reduce the chair as an element into the simplest basic shape. Made of three rectangular section pieces connected with an old T element, Tre 3 chair gets its final identity with a seat made of leather, leaned onto the base structure.

FROMME – PETITE FRITURE

Petit Friture brand has recently enriched the Fromme chair family with stool, lounge chair and bar chair, repeating always its basic element – a seating placed onto the absorbers placed on the base structure. This gives the chair a flexibility found on the bicycle seat, a detail that designer Tom Chung discovered and applied on his design. Also, the chair can be found in the upholstered version, maintaining the form, but with additional comfort.

BONNET CLUB CHAIR – ADEA

Vbonnet is a very comfortable item with upholstered seat, handrests and backrest that contrast it simple and slim metal base. This chair is just a member of the Bonnet family that contains a whole ensemble of pieces that can easily be put together in a livingroom, a lobby or an office space.

GARDEN ANTIBES CHAIR – ROSHULTS

Apart from the outdoor kitchen elements, Roshults created a large furniture collection both for interior and exterior. This Mediterranean-style chair is large enough to provide comfort and relax. The fabric is made of acrylic fibre, dries fast and prevents mould.
