Dan Yeffet / Design for light

Dan Yeffet is an internationally known designer in the field of lighting design, industrial design and furniture design. He collaborated with many famous brands worldwide, creating unique design items for everyday use.

For his works, Dan has so far been awarded with several international awards: FNAC (Fonds National d'Art Contemporain) first prize 2014, ELLE Décor International Award 2010, ELLE Decor international Design Award 2012, Grand Czech Design award DESIGNER OF THE YEAR 2012. His designs can also be found in the largest design museums worldwide: New Design Museum in Chicago, the Museum of Art's "Visual Delight" in Philadelphia; the Maritime Museum in New London-US, the Modam Museum in Luxembourg, FNAC Foundation in Paris, the V&A in London and the Design Museum in Holon Israel.

Connecting traditional artisanship and contemporary technology, Yeffet creates collections and products that explore innovative forms and production techniques. For two of our brands, Dan designed several beautiful light collections.

 

PENDULUM collection for CTO lighting

The collection was made of mouthblown glass and finishes in options of satin brass or bronze, combined with smoke glass. The collection contains wall, ceiling and pendant variants of modern yet warm and elegant shape.

BROKIS collections

In collaboration with designer Lucie Koldova, Dan designed sveral collections for Brokis brand, all reviving the Bohemian tradition of glass production, emphasizing the art of shaping and the beauty and fragility of glass.

SHADOWS

Designed as interior and exterior options, Shadows collection of pendant lights revive the atmosphere of French ateliers. Made of mouthblown glass and handcrafted wood, with classical shape, these lights bring so much elegance and can be arranged as various compisitions.

BALLOONS

Combination of glass shapes resembling old hot air balloons and metal pieces, Balloons collection became one of Brokis’ most recognizable ranges. Beautiful when lit up, Balloons look amaying even during daytime, due to their clear lines and visual fragility and elegance.

MUFFINS

Made of contuor glass and solid wood, in various shapes and sizes, Muffins became an iconic Brokis’ collection. In 2020, celebrating the collections’s 10th anniversary, the base was redsigned in marble, as an elegant festive variant, maintaining its beauty and recognizable forms.
